Barbecued Elk Meatballs
Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground Elk, Moose or Deer
- 2 cups quick oats, uncooked
- 1 13 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp, salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 2 cups catsup
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 T liquid smoke
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Lightly but thoroughly mix the first 8 ingredients
- Shape into 1 ½ inch balls and place in a single layer in 2 13 by 9 baking dishes
- Combine catsup, brown sugar, liquid smoke and garlic powder, stir in chopped onion
- Pour over the meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
- Stir halfway thru baking time.
